2021 Is Going To Be A Challenging Year For California Employers
Webinars
2.02.21
Despite the previous year’s challenges, 2021 presents new obstacles for California employers. The emergence of COVID-19 has resulted in new laws for notice, training, and responding to COVID-19 in the workplace. Please join us for a presentation of the new and significant California employment laws that have developed in 2020 and what is to be expected in 2021.
This program will review:
- California laws expanding protected time off by increasing the scope of the California Family Rights Act and allowing employees to designate paid sick time;
- Changes to the statute of limitations for filing complaints with the California Labor Commissioner for discrimination and retaliation claims and conferring the right to representation to claimants in appeal of wage claims; and
- Several other new laws that impact employment in California, which will highlight what employers should consider priorities for 2021.
