Alanna Dominguez Selected for LeadershipSBOT

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced that Alanna Dominguez was selected by the State Bar of Texas (SBOT) as one of only a select number of attorneys in Texas to be a member of the 2024-25 class of LeadershipSBOT.

Created in 2008 by then SBOT President Harper Estes, LeadershipSBOT is designed to increase diverse leadership participation within the legal community through the nomination of lawyers who possess both the desire and the potential to assume leadership roles in their communities and the State Bar of Texas.

LeadershipSBOT participants will examine what is expected of leaders and, with the advice and guidance of current leaders, discover how to best engage in public involvement to be effective in the profession and in the community. The year-long program consists of two training sessions and concludes with the presentation of group projects during the State Bar Annual Meeting.

In her practice, Dominguez represents insurers in coverage litigation. She has a background in civil engineering and construction, insurance construction defense. Dominguez is also uniquely suited to commercial litigation matters concerning supply chain management because she is a Certified Professional in Supply Management. In addition to orchestrating logistics for the military in contested environments, she managed supply chain operations at a large semiconductor factory where she was also a certified process auditor for automotive manufacturing.

Dominguez earned her J.D., cum laude, from St. Mary’s University School of Law, an MBA from St. Martin’s University, and a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. 

Dominguez is a decorated Army combat Veteran with more than 22 years of active service. Her service experience includes commanding one of the largest battalions in the military, overseeing 15 subordinate units containing 1,900 soldiers.

Dykema’s Danielle Rushing was a member of the 2020-21 class of LeadershipSBOT, followed by Ryan Borelo in 2021-22, and Asel Lindsey in 2022-23.
