Dykema is proud to announce that Alison Ashmore was selected for Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). Membership in the LCA is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of all American lawyers.
According to its website, the purpose of the organization is to recognize deserving, experienced, and highly qualified lawyers, to provide an outlet for scholarly authorship of legal articles on trial and litigation practice, to provide additional sources for professional development, to promote superior advocacy and ethical standards in the practice of law, to assist in community involvement by its membership, and to advance a superior judiciary, by taking relevant positions on issues or legislation affecting judicial compensation and/or benefits, as well as those affecting the American litigation processes. Ashmore and other Fellows are selected and invited into Fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation.
An accomplished business litigator, Ashmore is known for her ability to craft compelling arguments and effective strategies. She is regularly called upon by clients in a wide range of disputes, handling each one with a tailored, holistic approach that addresses specific objectives and business needs. Ashmore represents businesses from a variety of industries, including food and beverage manufacturing and distribution, real estate, construction, and energy. Recognized for her presence in the courtroom, she represents clients in both state and federal court, bankruptcy court, arbitrations, and before administrative bodies. Ashmore handles breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, employment discrimination, whistleblower, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other business claims.
Ashmore earned a J.D., cum laude, from Baylor Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Hardin-Simmons University.
