Jimmy Azadian, Chantel Febus, and Mark Magyar each authored their own respective articles for the 2024 Winter Edition of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Appellate Issues publication. The 2024 Winter Edition of the publication is dedicated to memorializing the panel presentations at the 2023 Appellate Judges Education Institute (AJEI) Summit in Washington, D.C.
The articles in the 2024 Winter Edition of Appellate Issues authored by the trio of Dykema attorneys are:
- "Dean Erwin Chemerinsky Reviews the Civil Cases of the Supreme Court's October 2022 Term," authored by Azadian,
- "Appellate Judges Education Institute: Supreme Court Preview," authored by Febus, and
- "The Importance and Impact of U.S. Appellate Courts of Special Jurisdiction," authored by Magyar.
Attendees at the 2023 AJEI Summit heard from a deep bench of talented jurists and practitioners, on a wide array of topics, some of which have been summarized by Azadian, Febus, and Magyar, in a recent publication. The ABA's Council of Appellate Lawyers helped produce the Summit. Dykema's Jill Wheaton serves as Chair and Magyar is a member of the Council’s Executive Board.
