James B. Smith, Jr., San Antonio-based member and Dykema’s Vice Chairman - Texas, wrote an article about the challenges faced by board members titled “Board Priorities for 2018” for the ACC Newsletter.
Smith explains why company boards of directors cannot remain passive in the face of contemporary “business disruptions,” such as security breaches, media and Twitter attacks, ever-changing office technology, political uncertainty, global warming, salary equality, and the respective needs of customers and employees.
