Dykema’s San Antonio Office Grows With the Addition of Five Attorneys

Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of five attorneys to its San Antonio office in a variety of practice areas and industry groups since August 19, 2019. Ryan Borelo, Priscila Mosqueda De La Garza, Daniel A. Ray, Katherine Spiser and Katherine (Katina) A. Zampas each join the firm as associates.

The office’s new attorneys and respective information for each are in the summaries below.
Ryan Borelo – Intellectual Property
Borelo joined Dykema’s Intellectual Property Practice Group on October 28, 2019, after practicing at Merchant & Gould in Minneapolis for the past two years. He practices all areas of intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent and trademark litigation and patent prosecution. Borelo has prosecuted patents covering chemical, mechanical, semiconductor, software, electrical, and optical device technologies. He received a J.D. and M.B.A., in Finance, from Brigham Young University, as well as a B.S., magna cum laude, in Chemical Engineering.
Priscila Mosqueda De La Garza – Commercial Litigation
Mosqueda De La Garza, who joined Dykema on September 9, 2019, focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation. She received a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.J. in Journalism, with high honors, from the University of Texas. Mosqueda De La Garza clerked for the Honorable Andrew Austin in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and was a member of the Calvert Inn of Courts in Austin.
Daniel A. Ray – Commercial Litigation
Ray, who joined Dykema’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group on August 19, 2019, is an experienced business and energy litigator who represents plaintiffs and defendants across multiple industries, including primarily in oil & gas, insurance and general business disputes. Prior to joining Dykema, he was an associate in the Houston office of an international law firm practicing commercial litigation. Ray received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center in 2015 and a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University in 2012.
Katherine E. Spiser – Corporate Finance
Spiser joined Dykema’s Corporate Finance Practice Group on September 9, 2019, after previously working with the group as a summer associate. She received a J.D., magna cum laude, from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she served as Editor in Chief of the St. Mary’s Law Journal, and a B.A. in Plan II Honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
Katherine (Katina) A. Zampas – Labor & Employment
Zampas, who joined Dykema on September 9, 2019, focuses her practice on labor and employment litigation. She received a J.D., summa cum laude, from St. Mary’s University School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, in Criminal Justice/Sociology/Psychology from the University of Hartford, where she played Division I tennis. While in law school, she clerked with Chamberlain Hrdlicka and Cokinos Young, and interned for the Honorable David Ezra in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the Honorable Craig Gargotta in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas.
