Dykema Sponsors Special Children’s Charities/Special Olympics Fundraiser in Chicago

Dykema was a lead sponsor for a May 29, 2014 event—“Sip & Savor”—that serves as one of the year’s key fundraisers held by Special Children’s Charities (SCC) to support Special Olympics Chicago. Through events such as “Sip & Savor,” SCC helps provide year-round sports training, recreational and social programs for the children and adults of Special Olympics Chicago.

Chicago-based Dykema member, Liz Darke, and associate Kara Murphy led Dykema’s participation in this event. A number of Dykema attorneys, as well as the Chicago summer associates, attended this after-work event. The event featured food—specially prepared by some of Chicago's top chefs—drinks, music, and networking, and attracted a host of the city’s movers-and-shakers.

Special Olympics Chicago serves nearly 5,000 athletes annually, offering 22 sports and competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
