Jillian Gordon Foerster Joins Dykema's San Antonio Office

Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Jillian Gordon Foerster to its Taxation Practice Group as a Senior Counsel in the firm’s San Antonio, office. Foerster, who previously practiced at Dykema from 2011-2017, rejoins the firm after serving as a Shareholder at Chamberlain Hrdlicka.

In her practice, Foerster advises clients on both creating employee benefit plans and keeping those plans in compliance with frequently changing laws and regulations. She has extensive experience advising clients on the myriad requirements for their health and welfare plans under the Affordable Care Act, various compliance issues surrounding retirement plans, including 401(k) and 403(b) plans, and reviewing and amending employee benefit plan documents for various Internal Revenue Code, ERISA and other federal requirements, such as the new changes to DOMA law. 

Foerster's also assists clients in the areas of HIPAA, IRS voluntary compliance programs, and executive compensation. She also works with nonprofit and tax-exempt clients on general governance issues, formation, and retirement plan compliance specific to tax-exempt and governmental entities, such as 403(b) and 457 plans.

Foerster earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University and a B.A. in political science, cum laude, from Southwestern University.
