Jim Case Recognized as a “Go To Lawyer” for Construction Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that Jim Case was selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a “Go To Lawyer” for Construction Law. Case will be profiled in a Michigan Lawyers Weekly special supplement on March 27, 2023.
Michigan Lawyers Weekly began the “Go To Lawyers” program to honor leading lawyers in a particular field of law. According to the publication, those selected are:
- Proficient in his or her field, well-versed in the nuances of the case law, statutes and regulations clients will encounter.
- Experienced, with a record of success in many cases and/or transactions.
- Lawyers to whom other lawyers make referrals because of his or her knowledge and accomplishments.
- Lawyers who can think creatively and identify all options for a client.
- Lawyers named when a friend needs legal help.
- Lawyers you might call if you need legal help in his or her field.
Case has successfully handled a multitude of cases in his career, in his representation of design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors, owners, and suppliers in various construction-related issues, including damages for delay, differing site conditions, construction change directives, owner interference, design errors and omissions, payment disputes, and contract interpretation. He has significant trial experience and a command of ADR techniques.
Case earned a J.D., with honors, from St. John’s University School of Law and a B.A. from Colgate University.
