Jonathan Michael to Serve as Featured Speaker at Estate Planning Short Course

Jonathan W. Michael, Chicago-based member in Dykema's Tax & Estate Planning Practice, will serve as a featured speaker at the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education's 62nd Annual Estate Planning Short Course. This two-day event, which is considered the preeminent legal education event for estate planning attorneys and trust officers in the State of Illinois, will take place in Chicago on May 6-7 and in Champaign on May 14-15.
Mr. Michael will co-present “How Do I Give Thee? Let Me Count the Ways: Public Charities, Donor Advised Funds, Community Foundations, Private Foundations, 501(c)(4) Organizations, L3Cs, Benefit Corporations, B-Corps and Charitable LLCs.” The presentation, which takes place at 2:40 p.m. in Track B on Day Two, will discuss the countless strategies that advisors can recommend to clients to effectuate charitable giving. In addition to discussing traditional entities like public charities and private foundations, the presentation will also highlight a number of new charitable vehicles that have gained popularity over the last decade.
