Michael R. Vogt, Bloomfield Hills-based Member in Dykema’s Real Estate Group, authored the State Bare of Michigan Real Property Law Section e-Newsletter article, “Knowing Your Zoning Appeal Deadlines Could be the Difference Between Development and Disappointment.”

In the article, Vogt said that “when it comes to appealing zoning decisions, timing can be everything.” He cited a case with the Detroit Board of Zoning Appeals, emphasizing that appeals must always be filed within statutory deadlines.
