"Michigan Asset Protection Trusts"

Robert P. Tiplady, Ann Arbor-based member of Dykema’s Taxation Group, has authored “Michigan Asset Protector Trusts” for the Michigan Bar Journal’s Probate and Estate Planning Issue. Tiplady, who chaired the State Bar subcommittee that drafted the bill for the 2017 Domestic Asset Protection Trusts law (DAPT) permitting creditor-shielded trusts, focuses on the benefits clients may garner from the provisions of domestic asset trusts.
