5.02.24 — 5.02.24 1:00 PM — 1:30 PM

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued its final regulations increasing the salary threshold for the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime exemption test by more than 65%! Join Dykema employment and labor attorneys Rob Boonin and Sean Darke as they discuss the DOL new overtime regulations and how employers can comply with these new regulations. With the U.S. DOL increasing its enforcement against employers, now is a perfect time to make sure your company is in compliance. As more and more wage and hour lawsuits are filed daily, employers need to understand how wage and hour laws work and how these new regulations will change who is exempt from overtime moving forward. The presenters also will provide guidance on conducting wage and hour audits to ensure that employers can confidently know that their workforce is in compliance.

This program will review:

  • NEW U.S. DOL salary level test for overtime exemptions;
  • NEW U.S. DOL highly compensated employee requirements;
  • Future salary increases and how those increases will work;
