Dykema is proud to announce that Robert Tiplady and Tyler Kemper, each of the firm’s Ann Arbor office, were selected as recipients of the Washtenaw County Bar Association’s (WCBA) 10th Annual Darrow-Harris Award for Public Service/Pro Bono work as a result of their efforts on the Homes for Generations Program. Tiplady, Kemper, and other honorees that were involved with the program will be honored at the WCBA Annual Meeting & Bench-Bar Conference on May 6, 2022.

The Darrow-Harris award is bestowed annually to lawyer(s) or a law firm that has made significant contributions to pro bono and or public service work in Washtenaw County. In giving this award, the WCBA, in collaboration with Legal Services of South Central Michigan, remembers in memoriam the generous personal contributions of Peter Darrow and Robert Harris to individuals in need of legal services and to organized legal aid societies.

Homes For Generations is a project of the Washtenaw County Court to preserve home and land ownership from falling out of the hands of family members as a result of historical racially discriminatory practices, including redlining, deed restrictions, and the like.
