Steve Gistenson Quoted in Chicago Daily Law Bulletin Profile of Donna Coaxum

Steven H. Gistenson, a Chicago-based member whose commercial litigation practice covers a broad array of trial and appellate litigation as well as mediation and arbitration matters, is quoted in a May 1, 2014 Chicago Daily Law Bulletin article— “Crisis? She has an app for that” —that profiles Donna Coaxum, General Counsel and Secretary, OSI Group LLC. OSI is an Aurora, Illinois-based food services provider that works with some of the largest restaurants in the world.

In the article, Gistenson says Coaxum is known for being a “hands-on” general counsel who works closely with her outside lawyers. Gistenson adds, “To know that the input we have is taken seriously and has a substantive effect on how the company deals with issues, problems or strategic planning that we get involved in—that’s a very rewarding way to practice law.”

Gistenson, who works with a number of general counsel at both public and private corporations, says that in his regular interactions with Coaxum and OSI, he is routinely asked to provide guidance and help on a broad spectrum of business issues that the company encounters.
