Three Dykema Attorneys Speak At The ICSC Fall Legal Conference

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that three members of its Real Estate Practice Group have been chosen to speak at the Fall Legal Conference of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) being held October 21-24 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, AZ. Robert C. Lintonwill be speaking on The Pitfalls of Letter of Credit Security Deposits, Michael D. Rothstein’s topic is The Outparcel Ground Lease: Shifting Obligations from the Tenant to the Landlord (or vice versa), and Daniel J. Schairbaum is speaking on Landlord Protections in Difficult Economic Times.

Founded in 1957, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is the global trade association of the shopping center industry. Its 70,000 members in the U.S., Canada and more than 80 other countries include shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, lenders, retailers and other professionals as well as academics and public officials. As the global industry trade association, ICSC links with more than 25 national and regional shopping center councils throughout the world.

Mr. Linton serves clients in the real estate industry, providing counsel for their commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, real estate finance, development and condominium law. He represents institutional and private property owners around the country in sales, acquisitions, development, and commercial leasing and property management issues.

Mr. Rothstein’s practice focuses on acquisitions, dispositions and finance. His acquisition and disposition experience includes serving as counsel to buyers and sellers of multi-family, office, retail and industrial properties throughout the country. His real estate finance practice consists of representing institutional lenders in connection with complex loan transactions including permanent, construction and mezzanine loans and bond related credit enhancement transactions.

Mr. Schairbaum advises clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, zoning, land use and management. He also represents general contractors and owners in design and construction law matters.
