The article examines the premise of Beylerian et al. v. Hillstone Restaurant Group, Inc. In this case, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Beylerian alleges Hillstone to be in violation of California’s laws proscribing price gouging during a state of emergency under the guise of “service or packaging” fees.
