Andrew Scott's work is instrumental in shepherding consequential real estate projects from conception to completion. Leveraging a diverse public and private sector background, Andrew secures the governmental entitlements, land use approvals, and economic development incentives that reap substantial financial advantages for clients acquiring or developing properties that range from urban infill to large suburban assemblages.

The decisions as to where and how to build a project involve countless considerations, and Andrew’s insights and abilities allow his clients to implement strategies that maximize the returns on their investments. Whether working with state or local officials to obtain sales tax incentives and tax credits for retail owners who want to repurpose and redevelop their property or accessing TIF funds to close financing gaps, Andrew finds money for his clients where others can't. 

Andrew recognizes that real estate investments don’t happen in a vacuum. The interests of many constituencies – from multiple government entities and elected officials to community members to lenders – need to align for a project to come to fruition. His talent for finding consensus and cutting through deal-threatening clutter is in part a product of his time spent working with and within government as assistant counsel to the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives, staff attorney for several House committees, on the staff of the Illinois Commerce Commission, and as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C.

Knowing the players as well as he knows the law and discerning the real motivations that drive decision-making, Andrew has established himself as an indispensable business partner for countless manufacturing, retail, residential development, and cannabis industry clients.
