Asel M. Lindsey

As the Assistant Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Tax practice group, Asel M. Lindsey advises on a broad range of corporate and tax matters with a focus on transactional tax practice. Asel has extensive experience in the areas of federal tax, transactions with flow-through entities, estate planning, state and local tax, and tax controversy matters. Asel represents private equity clients and regularly advises private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, established businesses, and family offices on issues related to middle-market transactions. Additionally, Asel plans and structures complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructurings. Furthermore, she regularly advises companies on complex partnership tax issues and inbound cross-border transactions.
Asel regularly works with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, families with multigenerational wealth and family offices, assisting them with succession issues, estate planning, asset protection, lifetime transfer planning, and charitable objectives. Asel regularly assists nonprofit organizations with obtaining and retaining exemption from federal, state, and local taxes, and provides counsel on tax issues for tax-exempt nonprofit organizations.
As a member of the firm’s DSO group, Asel regularly advises on tax issues related to formations of dental service organizations and other similar managed services structures, acquisitions, and restructurings. Asel also advises on compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”) and serves on the Firm’s CTA committee.
