Caleb J. Halberg

Caleb Halberg is a seasoned litigation attorney representing financial institutions, corporations, and other entities in complex commercial and financial services litigation. He has extensive experience handling cases in federal and state courts, developing litigation strategies, managing discovery, and advocating for clients at trial and on appeal.
Caleb’s practice focuses on defending financial services companies and other corporate clients against claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and other consumer protection statutes. He has successfully litigated cases involving contract disputes, business torts, fraud, lender liability, and high-exposure tort claims such as negligence and wrongful death.
Before joining Dykema, Caleb managed the Illinois office of another law firm, overseeing a team of litigation attorneys and serving as lead counsel in high-profile financial services litigation. He also served as Private Counsel for the U.S. Department of Justice, handling debt collection and mortgage foreclosure cases as outside counsel on behalf of the federal government.
