National co-leader of the firm's CMBS practice, Ed has spent his career at the forefront of legal issues affecting financial institutions, special servicers, private equity firms, and all constituent parties in workouts and bankruptcies. He is a formidable yet pragmatic litigator with a keen eye for finding efficient, early, and favorable resolutions that spare his clients exposure and disruption.

Ed's financial services practice involves representing financial institutions, special servicers, private equity firms, purchasers of non-performing commercial real estate and C&I debt, investors, and title insurers in litigation matters.

Always prepared and immersed in the details of each case, he helps his clients realize on outstanding obligations and defends their interests in loan enforcement and foreclosure actions, fraudulent conveyance cases, pursuit of guarantors, defense of lender liability claims, creditor committee litigation, mechanic's lien and land-use claims, and bankruptcy litigation. 

In his general commercial litigation practice, Ed represents companies in a broad spectrum of industries, including telecommunications, food technology solutions, airport technology, real estate, hospitality firms, and business services providers.

He litigates commercial matters of all kinds across the country, including fraud, business tort, breach of fiduciary duty, and trade secrets misappropriation and competition-related claims, as well as partnership disputes and corporate governance claims.

Ed has earned a reputation as a skilled trial lawyer whose determined courtroom advocacy is matched by a professional, civil approach that facilitates positive outcomes at the negotiating table.
