Eric Klein guides healthcare clients through the industry's complex and constantly evolving regulatory environment. Clients rely on him to stay on top of the shifting landscape, develop creative solutions that promote business opportunities, and help them maintain compliance with the laws and regulations that govern their operations. Eric also possesses extensive expertise in payer-provider contracting.

As the head of the firm's healthcare group, Eric represents various healthcare providers, including hospitals and health systems, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, dental support organizations, hospice providers, and home health agencies. Besides handling billing reimbursement disputes, licensure actions, and Medicare and Medicaid enrollment matters, he has extensive experience advising on internal and government investigations, compliance programs, and corporate governance issues.

Eric also counsels clients in fraud and abuse matters, with a particular focus on compliance with federal and state anti-kickback statutes, the Stark Law, the False Claims Act, and corporate practice of medicine and dentistry restrictions.

When providers don't comply with stringent rules and regulations, the consequences can be disastrous, both personally and to the overall business. Eric advises clients on meeting their obligations and avoiding potential fines, disciplinary actions, and other penalties, making it easier for them to grow or sell their businesses.

He delivers innovative solutions across a range of regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters, helping clients pursue new opportunities and investments.

Eric provides day-to-day counsel to clients on an array of corporate governance and compliance issues, including medical staff and peer review matters, corrective action and voluntary disclosure processes, and defending providers in government audits and investigations, such as qui tam False Claims Act lawsuits.

He represents clients in both small and complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations, as well as the formation and operation of joint ventures.

Eric also has deep experience with managed care and insurance contracts involving providers and the formation of clinically integrated networks.

The value I deliver goes beyond solid legal advice. I want to build personal relationships with my clients and thoroughly understand their businesses so we can succeed together.
