Evelyn Y. Galván
Associate
Evelyn Galván is an associate in Dykema's Detroit office. She focuses on defending manufacturers and corporate clients in complex product liability cases, general liability, and commercial litigation.
Evelyn represents Fortune 500 companies and their complex products across the country and focuses on defending the design and manufacture of motor vehicles and their component parts. Evelyn is also counsel for automobile negligence cases, including company car claims. Evelyn represents clients in both state and federal courts, providing strategic counsel and developing effective defense strategies. Evelyn works closely with her clients and team to navigate the intricacies of litigation, including pretrial motions, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation, ensuring their interests are protected throughout the legal process. Evelyn always has clients’ goals in mind, listens closely, practices empathy, and prioritizes effective communication.
Evelyn leverages her experience from seven years of work experience in legal spaces prior to starting at Dykema. Evelyn has worked in legal aid offices, immigration law offices, and University of Michigan’s Dean of Students Office and Compliance Office conducting investigations on discrimination and harassment claims.
During her time in Law School, Evelyn was a Summer Intern for the Honorable Chief Judge Sean Cox at the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and was an Intern for the Honorable Judge Miriam Perry in Ann Arbor’s 15thDistrict Court. Evelyn earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy and a Masters in Higher Education leadership from Eastern Michigan University. Evelyn also studied a semester in Washington, D.C.
