Jovan Dragovic

Senior Counsel

Jovan (“Joe”) Dragovic provides clients with advice, counsel, and assistance with increasingly complex legal issues confronting physicians, physician organizations, group practices, and ancillary health care items and service providers and suppliers. This necessarily involves helping his clients in navigating and obtaining superior results in the face of the complex panoply of federal and state health care laws and regulations.

Joe understands the increasing administrative burden placed on healthcare items and services providers and suppliers. This focuses his commitment to providing the highest level of service to clients through high levels of knowledge and skill with respect to the law and how it affects and interacts with the business concerns and interests of healthcare clients. Joe’s clients include, physicians, physician group practice professional entities, ambulatory surgery centers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, independent diagnostic testing facilities, and other health care industry participants.

Clients rely on Joe to counsel, guide, and  advise on healthcare business transactions, including, but not limited to, mergers and acquisitions of medical practices, group practice entity creation and structures, corporate governance documents and agreements, physician and group practice professional services arrangements with other providers, including hospitals and health systems, physician and other licensed individual employment agreements, and leasing and subleasing arrangements.

Clients have similarly entrusted Joe with controversies and disputes that arise from their healthcare business activity. Such matters include contract disputes and disputes among owners of professional entities, including, but not limited to so-called “oppression” actions. Joe understands that clients desire economically rational approaches to disputes. Joe is particularly sensitive to his clients’ interests and always sets goals that are intended to achieve results that make good “business sense.”

I want to establish and maintain meaningful and lasting relationships with my clients by committing to provide honest, real-world solutions to their challenges with the best possible service. My experience has taught me that candid and honest discourse with clients, even when it consists of uncomfortable truth, is a solid foundation for an enduring advisory relationship.
