If you drive around Detroit or spot a solar, wind, or another renewable energy project, you'll likely see the results of Laura Weingartner's work.

Her real estate financing acumen, her ability to forge positive and productive working relationships with all parties to a deal, and her commitment to achieving her clients' goals have facilitated countless projects and transactions.

While Laura has varied and extensive experience handling a broad spectrum of real estate and financing transactions, her current practice focuses on complex renewable and alternative energy finance arrangements. Pragmatic and thorough, Laura has represented lenders in hundreds of loan transactions with solar, wind, and other renewable energy developers on projects ranging in size from modest to large utility-scale facilities.

The lenders Laura represents appreciate her deep industry knowledge and understanding of their concerns and priorities.

Laura also represents developers with site control, land use, and lease agreements and assists other corporate clients in negotiating solar and wind leases on their commercial real estate sites.

In her counsel, due diligence, and negotiations with other parties to a transaction, Laura knows the difference between issues that matter and those that merely delay or distract. This clears a path for the fruitful resolution of sticking points and leads to prompt and efficient closings.

In addition to her renewable energy finance practice, Laura handles all manner of commercial real estate transactions, including commercial leasing, acquisition, disposition, project siting and zoning, affordable housing development, and landlord-tenant litigation.

Laura has represented developers, investors, lenders, REITs, health care systems, manufacturers, municipalities, public school systems, religious institutions, and other public and private entities.

Transactions work is teamwork. It requires trust, confidence, respect, and a spirit of collaboration in pursuit of a common goal. Building positive relationships with other parties while protecting my clients' interests is what leads to building the projects all parties want to see come to fruition.
