Melissa L. Hjalmquist
Associate
Melissa Hjalmquist is an associate in Dykema’s Real Estate practice group and is based in the firm’s San Antonio office. Melissa focuses her practice on commercial real estate and corporate governance. She assists clients at all stages of real property acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing, and development. Melissa also advises clients on corporate formations, governance, and other general legal matters.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has a Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University and earned her Juris Doctor from American University’s Washington School of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, Melissa interned with the Honorable G. Michael Harvey at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Melissa is an active member of her church community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and cooking with her husband as well as spending time with the family dogs, Wilco and Oswald.
