• Leaf v. Nike, Inc., 2021 U.S. App. LEXIS 32180 (6th Cir. 2021). Prevailed on appeal in a deceptive trade practices case against NIKE and its outside advertising agency.
• William Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak v. Price, 455 F. Supp. 3d 432 (E.D. Mich. 2020). Won reversal of decision by the Secretary of Health and Human Services denying Medicare reimbursement, in which the Court found that HHS’s decision was arbitrary and capricious and entitled to no deference.
• Wiggins v. Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC, 722 Fed. App’x. 415 (6th Cir. 2018). Successfully defended appeal regarding alleged violations of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act’s loss mitigation procedures.
• Molotky v. Capel, 2018 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 11369 (W.D. Mich. 2018). Defeated attempt to remand and obtained pleadings-based dismissal of fraud claims.
• Peck v. Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC, 2017 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 169281 (E.D. Mich. 2017). Obtained summary judgment of claims arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.
• Moore v. Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC, 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 83400 (E.D. Mich. 2016). Won pleadings-based dismissal of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act claim.
• United States Bank Nat'l Ass'n v. Carswell, 2015 Mich. App. LEXIS 928 (Mich. App. 2015). Successfully defended appeal of judgment of foreclosure.
• Khoshiko v. Deutsche Bank Tr. Co. Ams., 574 F. App'x 539 (6th Cir. 2014). Prevailed in appeal of statutory challenges to foreclosure by advertisement.
• Nikiforuk v. CitiMortgage, Inc., 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 99208 (E.D. Mich. 2014). Obtained rare litigation injunction due to the abusive and vexatious filings of serial litigants.
• Dardini v. Chase, 565 F. App'x 427 (6th Cir. 2014). Successfully defended appeal of summary judgment confirming validity and enforceability of purchase money mortgage.
• Wyandotte Prof'l Bldg., LLC v. Keybank, N.A., 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 140028 (E.D. Mich. 2013). Obtained summary judgment of tort and consumer protection statutory claims based on alleged defamatory credit reporting.
• Howard v. Chase Home Finance, LLC., 2012 WL 3151571 (E.D. Mich. 2012). Defeated challenges to the foreclosure sale of real property by advertisement on summary judgment.
• Ruby Real Estate I, LLC v. Andrew Lewis, 2011 WL 5975295 (E.D. Mich. 2011). Successfully defended motion to dismiss for improper venue in an action for breach of a commercial loan contract.
