Samantha Hughes understands that a skilled litigator needs to be quick thinking, strategic, collaborative, and client focused. Samantha’s extensive litigation experience ensures that she evaluates each case on its merits and vigorously defends her clients’ interests both in and out of the courtroom. Having served as general counsel on a client’s in-house legal team, Samantha understands that each case carries its own unique circumstances, so she works closely with each client to determine the most favorable outcome.

Samantha’s practice centers on products liability and general litigation defense. She has seen cases through trial, successfully resolved numerous matters through dispositive law and motion work, and obtained many favorable resolutions through negotiated settlements.

Throughout her career she has defended product manufacturers, business entities, and insurers against product liability claims resulting from severe personal injury or death, as well as toxic torts and chemical exposure, and represents companies and individuals in general liability and premises liability matters. In addition to her products liability and general litigation work, Samantha successfully represented manufacturers of automobiles, as well as dealers, finance companies, and related entities in consumer warranty actions.

Above all, Samantha values her relationships with her peers and her clients. She believes in the value of building cooperative working relationships across the aisle and working efficiently and effectively to further her clients’ goals. 

Samantha continues to gain recognition from her peers, recently named to the 2022 Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” list for Product Liability Litigation – Defendants.
