Timothy B. Caprez
Senior Counsel

Tim Caprez has devoted his career to helping clients in highly regulated industries navigate the complexities of their legal landscapes. With his counsel, they accomplish organizational objectives and optimize outcomes for those they serve. Leveraging extensive in-house counsel and leadership experience in healthcare and private practice experience across multiple markets, Tim easily translates legal-speak into plain-speak to design and execute creative corporate governance and commercial transaction strategies that make legal compliance a competitive advantage for his clients, and serve as a trusted partner in the investigation and litigation of their activities when needed.
Having represented transformative public and private entities across the spectrum of industries and, in particular, healthcare sector innovators in settings and deals of all shapes and sizes, Tim has developed deep expertise in corporate transactions and the myriad of stringent fraud and abuse, data privacy, patient care and product education and promotion restrictions impacting medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers and institutions, clinical laboratories and research organizations. Tim immerses himself in his client’s mission and devises particularized approaches to empower the client with an ability to “see around corners” and proactively meet both corporate and personal compliance responsibilities. His own experience as a client of various law firms during his time as an executive at a publicly-traded company informs the exceptional client service and practical advice he now provides at Dykema.
